Die Systemische Sklerodermie (SSc) ist eine generalisierte Erkrankung der kleinen Arterien, der Mikrogefäße und des Bindegewebes und gekennzeichnet durch Fibrose und Gefäßobliterationen in der Haut und anderen Organen, besonders in Lunge, Herz und Verdauungstrakt. Zwei hauptsächliche Untergruppen der SSc sind die diffuse kutane SSc (dcSSc) und die limitierte kutane SSc (lcSSc) (s. diese Termini). Als dritte Untergruppe wurde die limitierte Systemische Sklerodermie (lSSc) oder Scleroderma sine scleroderma (s. diese Termini) beschrieben.
