Eine seltene thrombotische Mikroangiopathie, die durch mechanische hämolytische Anämie, Thrombozytopenie und Nierenfunktionsstörung gekennzeichnet ist und in der Prodromalphase von einer Enteritis begleitet wird, die durch <i>Shigella dysentriae</i> Typ 1 oder <i>E. Coli</i> verursacht wird.
